Coronavirus + Studio Update

To our beautiful Yogaventures community,

We are passionate and committed to keeping our community happy and healthy during this challenging and uncertain time. Due to the unfolding Coronavirus (COVID-19), we’ve taken active first-step and precautionary measures to protect our students, teachers and planet. We are doing our utmost keep our doors open to provide a safe space to practice, and strive to maintain a sustainable business so that we can continue to share these beautiful experiences with you. Some of these processes and changes may seem extreme and do not come lightly. We understand that this is just the beginning and do have further additional measures we will implement as required. We are closely monitoring, staying informed and following government and healthcare recommendations.

It's a complex and unprecedented situation so we expect our plans to change and will let you know as they do.

Supporting Small Businesses

This is a tough time for everyone. As you know, we successfully launched and opened our studio doors only in March 2020. Like many small businesses, we pay our bills month to month, have teachers that rely on us for income, and have now been adversely affected by this pandemic. So during this time, please continue to not just support us by keeping your membership running, but support any small business you can. They are the ones who will be hit the hardest. If we choose to not support local cafes, local stores and local yoga studios, there's a very real chance that the ones we love and adore may not be there after this pandemic passes.

Online Yoga

It's never been so important to stay connected, healthy and positive. Whilst our studio remains open and are filled with positive vibes during this time, we are also going to be offering online yoga via Yogaventures Online Studio. In the instance that we are asked to close our studio doors temporarily, we are prepared and working hard to offer you online yoga classes so you can continue your membership, practice from home and our teachers can continue teaching.

First-Step Temporary Studio Measures implemented 16 March 2020:

  • Temporarily reduced class schedule;

  • Limiting classes to 10 students (one-third of our capacity) so there's a safer 1m distance between bodies for social distancing;

  • No hire mats available for now. Please bring your own;

  • All classes taught without any props for now (no bolsters, blocks, straps, eye pillows, massage balls). BYO if you like;

  • No essential oil balms for now;

  • No tea station for now;

  • No hands-on adjustments by teachers;

  • Ensuring all teachers, staff and students wash/sanitise hands before and after class;

  • No more self check-in with iPad touch screen. Teachers will now check-in students;

  • Diffusing pure tea tree oil when in studio (tee tree has natural antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and anti-fungal properties)

  • RoboRock (robot vacuum) vacuuming and mopping with hospital grade disinfectant twice daily;

  • All soft and hard surfaces (especially high-traffic areas) disinfected with hospital grade disinfectant (wipes, liquid spray and air spray) thoroughly daily;

  • Teachers, staff and students asked to stay home and rest if feeling unwell;

  • Offering online yoga to our community via Yogaventures Online Studio.

We sincerely apologies to anyone who is inconvenienced or impacted with these changes and are so incredibly grateful for your patience, understanding and ongoing support during this time. We hope you continue to enjoy our beautiful classes and self-care techniques to support your health.

Until then - Protect and support the vulnerable. Stimulate your local economy and community by supporting small businesses. Take care of yourself and let's move through this together.

If you have any queries or concerns please touch base hello@yogaventures.com.au.

With love and gratitude,

Emma + the Yogaventures family.
