OLDIE BUT A GOODIE
Our Oldies Yoga 6 Week Course is accessible, friendly, fun and specifically created for our baby boomers and beyond! A lot of regular yoga classes require a level of flexibility that many seniors simply do not have. You will come away from this course with the knowledge and toolkit to find appropriate modification options for poses and sequences to keep bones strong and muscles and joints as healthy as possible.
What To Expect
Each week we'll focus on one component and learn something new. The weeks are not accumulative and don't build on the previous week. So you can start the course from any week or simply attend a makeup course if you miss one (within a 3 month period).
Week 1: Benefits of Yoga for Seniors, modifications, and using props effectively
Week 2: Shoulder Openers
Week 3: Breathing Techniques and Meditation
Week 4: Restorative Yoga
Week 5: Hip Openers
Week 6: Safe Sun Salutations
