General Dungeon Mechanics
As a tank, there are a few patterns that you might notice when launching dungeons.
Check The History Of The Dungeons! The dungeon log always has a summary of each battle, which will tell you about the important things to pay attention to.

Massive Damage: Some enemies can hit all the targets in front of them. This is usually telegraphed with a pie-shaped earth effect or a slice spell effect. To fight this, keep the enemies away from your group.
Active Mitigation Check: Some bosses have a special ability that is significantly reduced when using damage reduction before the ability lands. This mechanic is often telegraphed by a throw that cannot be interrupted. React to this by using your abilities that reduce damage.
Add aggro: Sometimes a group of mobs or a boss summon more enemies. Make sure that your strong AoE abilities are available at these moments.
Ground Effects: In most cases, if there is something on the ground, you should not interfere. Try to fend off enemies outside of these effects so that both you and your group can attack them in relative safety.
Projections: Similar to ground effects, some enemies will cast a spell that marks the effect area with a circle or a piece of cake. Run away from the area before their spell ends to avoid deadly damage.
Frenzy: Some bosses hit harder the longer the fight goes on. Make sure that your strongest defensive cooldowns, such as shield blocking or mitigation, are available for these moments.
Cast Interrupts: Many enemies will try to hit you or your group with a spell. If the mob does not have a shield during the cast, it can and probably should be interrupted.
