Heard that just 20mins of Yoga Nidra (elusive yogic sleep) is equivalent to 2 hours of actual sleep, and want to experience the magic for yourself? We don't blame you. Join our beautiful resident yoga teacher Mollie Cox for this deeply restorative practice by candlelight designed to calm the nervous system on the most profound level. Yoga Nidra is scientifically proven to increase gray matter in the brain along with a myriad of other benefits such as reducing tension, calming the nervous system and slowing the brain waves for a more peaceful, uninterrupted sleep.
What To Expect
With Yoga Nidra, there's no strict, disciplined approach with formal seating or mind focus (phewf!). It's a deceptively simple practice. Instead we offer yummy reclined posture with bolsters, cushions, blankets, eye pillows and soft candlelight for ultimate comfort and maximum relaxation. Expect to be guided through relaxing body scans, breathwork and simple mantras allowing us to move away from the mind and into the heart space. It's so gentle, that there is no incorrect way to practice. You may float in and out of consciousness, but wherever your practice takes you is where you're meant to go. Suitable for all levels.
