Heard of this yoga thing, but not quite sure where to start? Start right here with our Beginner Yoga 6 Week Course. Here at Yogaventures, we specialise in beginner-friendly yoga for EVERY body. Our Beginner Yoga 6 Week Course is for those stepping on to the mat for the first time or those who have practised before but still have questions. We don't really care if you can touch your toes - our aim is to create a safe and supportive space for longevity in the practice!
What To Expect
Each week we will break down fundamental yoga postures and techniques by learning not just how to do them but understanding why we do them, the benefits and the contraindications. Expect to learn something new each week. The weeks are not accumulative and don't build on the previous week. So you can start the course from any week or simply attend a makeup course if you miss one (within a 3 month period).
Week 1: Introduction to Yoga (Benefits, History, Ethics and Philosophy)
Week 2: Seated and Reclined Postures
Week 3: Meditation, Mindfulness and Breathing Techniques
Week 4: Back Bends, Twists and Core
Week 5: Standing Postures
Week 6: Sun Salutations + Tips for a Safe Practice
